Following the viral appearance of the woman now dubbed “bagel Karen” in a bakery and calling a worker the n-word because they wouldn’t serve her without a mask, TMZ caught up with the father of her mixed-race children.

The father was identified as Durven Dawes and is a Black man who is understandably concerned about her behavior and the impact it’s going to have on his kids.

Stephanie Denaro has been seen in multiple videos around New York saying racist things, denying the existence of COVID-19 while wearing a MAGA hat, and generally being an anti-mask nuisance.

The incident at Davidovich Bakery was only the latest and most viral of her public bigotry, which resulted in such intense backlash that she tried to claim that she herself is Black. She’s clearly not, especially since she calls herself white in other videos.

In the COVID-denying video, she says that she has children with a Black man and attempts to claim that you can’t be anti-racist if you’re not having sex with Black people.

Dawes resoundingly condemned Denaro’s behavior in his interview with TMZ, stressing that “she is responsible for her actions” and accusing her of “spitting poison” and causing damage to their children.

“I am concerned about my children’s safety, 150 percent,” he says.

He also suggested that Denaro seek mental health care in order to hopefully improve her behavior.

“I’m not a psychiatrist or a psychologist but in my opinion, if that young lady gets proper mental care, and be monitored effectively, then perhaps her actions won’t be so negative to attack people in a racist manner.”

He then offered a personal message to Denaro encouraging her to do the right thing, saying that she’s educated enough to understand why she’s in the wrong.

“Sit back, think about it, don’t get indoctrinated, don’t let poison into your system and your mind, and make amends.”

Unfortunately, based on the other videos of Denaro, it may be too late to tell her not to let herself become indoctrinated into a poisonous ideology.

Dawes concluded the interview by offering a personal apology on behalf of his entire family to the young man whom Denaro called the n-word.

According to TMZ, Dawes lost a custody battle for their four children in the past. Hopefully, with this new information coming to light about Denaro, Dawes can appeal this decision.
