Video of a racist Irish man catching a KO strike in the jaw by an Asian man defending his business has gone viral on Reddit’s “Public Freakout” forum, where people are resoundingly enjoying the sight of the white dude dropping to the ground after being forcibly ejected from the store. The young man was allegedly harassing the store owners before the recording started, with the post header describing him as a “disruptive racist customer.”

After being pushed out and told to leave, the customer repeatedly tried to enter the store again and threatened the business owners with violence before finding out.

The video starts with the two shop owners and the customer in a bit of a kicking fight as, outnumbered, the white guy is backed toward the exit. He catches a hit in the back of the head, but it looks to be more of a push with a fist. Still, the ejected customer continues to talk trash and make threatening gestures in spite of repeated warnings that he’s about to get it worse.
“You want it?” asks the man in the gloves repeatedly while in a fighting stance. “Come on.”
After a cut, the Irish man tries to re-enter the shop.
“Keep your distance,” says the shop owner.
The customer is difficult to understand but seems to be complaining that the shop owners “keep kicking me” before trying to get into the younger owner’s face, resulting in a hearty shove out the door from the gloved man. The white guy comes back again, holding up his fist in a threatening manner and shoving the elder owner in the chest. That’s when he takes one right to the jaw and falls flat on his face, unconscious.
The man remains motionless on the ground for at least 15 seconds, at which point the video ends. Bystanders can be seen attempting to wake him, but are unsuccessful.

It remains unclear what exactly prompted the store owners to insist that the belligerent young man leave, but with anti-AAPI bigotry soaring across many nations, most assume he probably said something really racist. One Reddit commenter confirmed that the shop itself is in Dublin, Ireland, and that the owners are usually really nice people who are not eager to punch you in the jaw as long as you behave yourself.
“It’s right in the city center of Dublin, right next to the tram line,” the Reddit user wrote. “It has an interesting mix of people outside the door. Met the owner, the guy with grey hair in the video, a good few times and he’s an absolute gentleman. He always had my respect, but now that I’ve seen him knock a racist piece of s–t out, he has my admiration.”
