Comedian and notorious troller of anti-vaxxers and right-wing conspiracy theorist Walter Masterson is back with a new video of his adventures into the depths of a Pro-Trump anti-vaccine rally in New York, where the city’s remaining Trump supporters went to yell that they would never submit to the optional COVID shot. One particular clip highlighted by Masterson shows a woman who claims to be a public school teacher railing against what she calls “scientism” before thankfully announcing that she intends to quit her job.

The woman confirms she’s a teacher, appearing reluctant to name her place of employment but saying “PS 333” when asked by Masterson with his fake CNN microphone. The teacher accuses him of repeating that she’s a teacher “with a little bit of, you know, something in your voice.” That “something” was, of course, a mix of concern and despair, possibly with a touch of desperation to keep himself from simply unloading on the woman who provides an alleged education to local children.
“Well, you’re at an anti-vax rally,” says Masterson.
“I am not at an anti-vax rally,” the woman insists. “This is a rally for freedom.”
“I think that’s f—ing bulls–t,” Masterson admits.
The video cuts forward to the teacher claiming she’s “pro-choice,” a claim many anti-vaxxers and right-wing COVID-deniers have repeated in the past several months as a flimsy excuse for refusing the coronavirus vaccine without seeming to hold the same position on abortion. Some have defended themselves by saying that abortion affects another person, ever conveniently ignoring the fact that their passing on the novel coronavirus to others could affect hundreds or even thousands of people and kill a whole lot more than one fetus or embryo.
This woman, however, claims to be truly pro-choice, only ignoring the fact that the vaccine is not mandatory but an optional choice to prevent oneself from inadvertently infecting and possibly killing others with a dangerous virus.
“I’ve been pro-choice my whole life,” she says. “This is about choice. It’s my body. My sovereignty starts here.”

She does not explain how she reconciles her position with the fact that she is teaming up with Trump supporters who largely want to make abortion illegal.
Instead, she goes on a bizarre anti-science rant while demonstrating just how badly the U.S. is failing its children in terms of education.
“Research is research,” she says. “You either know how to do research or you don’t.”
“That’s the problem is everyone’s looking at data and interpreting it without a medical lens,” Masterson points out. “So you’re into scientism, that’s cool,” the woman replies.
Masterson has to look into the camera as he repeats the term “scientism” in disbelief before asking her to explain what it means.
“It is this idea that only the material world exists,” she says. “This is it. If I can’t touch it, it doesn’t exist.”
“Peer review is scientism?” Masterson asks as the teacher struggles to find an answer. “Medical trials, that’s scientism?”
“I guess you went to public school,” she counters.
“Public school?” says Masterson with a short pause. “You teach at a public school.”
“Yeah, I’m quitting, I can’t take it.”

“I think that’s the right choice.”
