Right-Wing PAC Chaired By Mike Pompeo Has A Question For You: “Are You A Pipehitter?”

No, this is not some kind of new anti-drug PSA. In fact, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo wants you to be a “Pipehitter” as advertised by the campaign of his new political action committee CAVPAC, which is designed to help right-wing candidates run for office in 2022 as Republicans attempt to take back the House and Senate from Democrats.

As part of this effort, Pompeo is calling on “all unapologetic Americans to join me and become a Pipehitter.”

The CAVPAC tweet defines “Pipehitter” as “someone who is unapologetically America, someone who fights for our future, someone who never gives an inch, someone who is dedicated to stand against the radical Left’s agenda.” However, many people coming across this tweet thought of something quite different upon reading the term.

In the U.S. military, a “Pipe Hitter” is used to refer to individuals in special forces such as the Navy SEALs. Another organization using this term, the Pipe Hitter Foundation, supports retired Navy SEAL Edward R. Gallagher, who was accused of several war crimes based on the testimony of multiple fellow members of the Navy who witnessed him killing a prisoner of war being treated by medics and then posing for a photo with the body.

Gallagher was only convicted of the offense of taking the photo, and the resulting demotion was overturned by former President Donald Trump during his time interfering in the cases of several war criminals.

But even this grizzly image was not what was conjured up for most upon reading the term “Pipehitter” on the CAVPAC tweet. In more common culture, the idea of hitting a pipe is more commonly associated with drug use, particularly that of crack cocaine, meth, and cannabis. Others died it to a specific sexual act involving the human penis.

How Pompeo did not see this coming is a mystery, but now we have a whole list of people making jokes about drugs and sex at his expense. Rock and roll:
