Trump’s Weird-Looking Pants Prompt Accusations That He Put Them On Backwards

Donald Trump made an appearance at a Republican event in North Carolina over the weekend, and while he spoke for a full 90 minutes (much of which involved the same old lies that the 2020 election was stolen from him), the main focus of social media was on whether or not the former president was wearing his pants backwards.

As hilarious as it would be to imagine that Trump somehow put his pants on backward and walked out onto a stage without anyone stopping him, the reality is that it’s pretty unlikely. 

And according to Snopes, still images taken during the event at other angles do manage to show a zipper on the front of Trump’s pants, which generally means that yes, they’re on correctly.

But just because the #TrumpPants claim turned out to be a mistake doesn’t mean that some pretty great tweets didn’t come out of the whole thing. And considering the other takes from the event revolve around how millions of Trump followers are still falling for his lies, setting us up for some serious issues in future elections, sometimes we’ve got to enjoy the ridiculousness while we still can.
