Twitter Roasts Trump Tweet On Starting The Transition To The Biden Administration

Over half of the nation collectively breathed a sigh of relief Monday at the news that the Trump administration has finally given the go-ahead for the presidential transition process as they lose their legal battles against the 2020 election results. Even Donald Trump himself posted a tweet acknowledging that this process was beginning and, of course, taking credit for it while still refusing to actually concede.

The outgoing president tried to make it seem like he was giving the green light to a process he’s already delayed by weeks for the good of the country and to protect Emily Murphy, the the administrator of the General Services Administration who has been holding things up for him.

Trump himself did not actually need to recommend anything in order to get this process started. Typically, the GSA administrator would have made a routine call to get the transition process started, but Murphy delayed doing so, costing President-elect Biden weeks in briefings and preparation as the pandemic rages across the U.S. Finally, on Monday, she said she made the independent decision to let democracy happen.

Now that the Trump campaign has lost key legal battles and Pennsylvania has officially certified Biden as the winner of the state, it seems like the election is truly over. Trump critics are celebrating in their favorite manner — by roasting his not-really-conceding tweets all day long.
