A bizarre scene, initially shared to TikTok and now living on via Twitter, shows Beyoncé choreographer Jonte’ Moaning and friends being yelled at by an angry man in a tank top—and then the man strips off the tank top and continues his rant.

The choreographer, who often just goes by Jonte, originally posted the video to TikTok and then reposted it Tuesday, with the caption “Tik removed it.” Jonte also shared it on his Twitter account (@hellojonte) Monday, where it’s remained since.

“This is the unacceptable behavior that we have to deal with in the Lgbtq community,” Jonte wrote in the tweet accompanying the video. “Us being fab and constantly being targeted. It’s unacceptable. No mam you got the wrong ones.” It’s also hashtagged #bekind (something that the man in the video was clearly not heeding) and #nyc, suggesting that the video was recorded in New York City.
In the video, the man—who some Twitter responders likened to Wolverine for his hairy, disheveled appearance—is captured gesticulating wildly at the group and yelling at them. While not all of it is unintelligible, there’s one alliterative phrase clearly audible in the video, in which the man couples the f-word with a derogatory slur for gay people.
In the 22-second video, the man starts with a tank top on, and peels it off about halfway through the video, as a person who appears to be either a security guard or bouncer steps in to prevent the confrontation from escalating further.
The Daily Dot, which contends the man also used the N-word in the rant, speculated that this could have been drug-fueled behavior. “His body language, according to commenters, strongly resembles that of someone on methamphetamines— ‘tweaking.’”
In the response to prolific retweeter @Tim_Tweeted, who goes by Marjorie Gaylor Queen, Twitter user @noobhammer3000 assessed, “That right there is the tweaker shuffle.”

Another person, responding to Jonte’s tweet, asked, “Is he having a seizure? Cuz he is all kinds of wrong. A mess.”
According to his bio, “Jonté is best known for taking part in curating the iconic ‘Sasha Fierce’ persona of Beyoncé,” and has also worked with Janet Jackson, Blackpink, Cassie, and Tamar Braxton.” It also notes, “As a performer, Jonte is known for his androgynous look and trademark high heels.”
“So many emotions about this,” wrote one fan on TikTok, posting a range of emojis to prove the point. “Sorry you had to go through any of this.”
