After a TikToker and her friend confronted a random guy who was taking pictures of them while they were hanging out by a pool, they shared footage of the confrontation to remind others to stay vigilant about creeps.

The video taken by Mai Pham, or @maiphammy, starts with audio of her confronting a man shown to have been sitting across the way from them at an outdoor pool.
“Excuse me,” she says. “I’d really appreciate it if you deleted the photos of us off your phone.”

It then cuts to actual footage of the confrontation, in which her friend is demanding that the man show them his phone to prove he didn’t take pictures of them. He initially tries to show them his Favorites album instead of his cameral roll but is quickly called out.
Still, even once he seems to have given up the charade, the man tried to wave them off and simply promise he would delete the photos. His hands were visibly shaking as he had the audacity to ask them to stop hovering over them as he deleted the photos, because it was “intimidating.”
Obviously, confronting someone being a creep, even in a public space, isn’t always a safe choice in a situation like this, but people applauded Mai and her friend for taking a stand for themselves.
“You guys did the best thing you’re so brave,” one TikTok user wrote.
However, some insisted that the man was well within his rights to take pictures since they were in a public place, or that Mai and her friend are guilty of doing the “same thing” since they recorded him after he decided to be a creepy. Fortunately, there were plenty of folks ready to put those people in their places.

Just because something is legal doesn’t mean it’s right, but a general rule of thumb is that if you’re doing something that’s so creepy your hands will literally shake when you’re caught…maybe don’t do it in the first place.
