Woman Says She Was Almost Shot After Asking A Man To Leave Her Friends Alone

A TikToker says she was almost shot after asking a man harassing her and her friends at a restaurant to leave.

Video reposted to Twitter shows snippets of what happened. A man appeared to be coming up to friends who were dining outside and hovering over their table. When it became clear that none of them were going to entertain him, he became aggressive, looming over one woman and saying that he’s a “killer.”

“Can you just walk away please?” the woman recording asks at one point, as the man simply continues to yell. 

Someone who seems to be an employee approaches the table at one point but it doesn’t do much good.

Eventually, the clips cut to a frenzied video of the friends hurrying out of the dining area as what sounds like gunshots and crashing glass are heard in the background.

It wasn’t immediately clear when or precisely where the video was taken, although the caption refers to LA.

Still, the experience of a man not taking “no” for an answer and turning violent isn’t a unique one, and folks on Twitter had plenty to say about it.

Yep. Happens to me constantly. I had a man aggressively walk right up to me with my kids in the car to comment on my butt while I was pumping gas and when I got SUPER defensive because I was scared, he came in heavy with cussing me out. It’s ridiculous.

I don’t know what we can do to stop people like this from sprouting up. Maybe teaching kids about consent & empathy from an early age would help, it’s at least worth a shot.

Exactly and I really wish more men understood that. I saw someone say this once and I’ve repeated it also as I liked the comparison.
