The Internet exploded with horniness this week when actors Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain made an appearance together at the Venice Film Festival, after the first two episodes of their new HBO show, Scenes From a Marriage, premiered. According to BuzzFeed, the show is an adaptation of Ingmar Bergman’s 1973 Swedish series of the same name. They seem to have decided to honor the original by making this show seem as sexy as possible.

As the pair stopped to pose for photographers, Oscar Isaac turned all of his not inconsiderable charisma on Chastain and made sweet love to her with his eyes, sniffing her arm like her stink is the odor of the gods.
Which it may be, I have never personally smelled Jessica Chastain. But the slow-motion moment has made Twitter’s collective panties drop:

The two have worked together before on 2014’s A Most Violent Year, and are clearly very, very comfortable together:
And they have undeniable on screen chemistry, as you can see in the trailer for the new series:
But they’re also both married. To other people. Danish screenwriter and director Elvira Lind is Isaac’s lovely wife while Chastain is married to fashion executive Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo. By now, both spouses must be used to their partners getting pretend sexy, and while this arm sniff moment is extremely compelling, it’s clearly meant to draw attention to their show. And it’s working!!!

“Why is Oscar Isaac the only person allowed to kiss your inner arm,” Kaling asked. “Don’t hate lol,” Chastain replied. I dunno, that sounds more like love to me.
