In between segments drumming up fake outrage over whether elementary schools are teaching Master’s level coursework on race or asking with a straight face whether a vaccine can make your testicles swell, Tucker Carlson is apparently fascinated with the alleged orangeness of President Joe Biden. He spent actual time on his Fox News show looking at photos of Joe Biden in which his skin has an undeniable orange tint, bringing up the whole “Trump is orange” thing, and postulating that maybe there’s something in the water in the White House that’s turning the presidents orange.

“Back in January, liberals around the world celebrated that the White House was no longer occupied by an orange president,” Carlson says. “Now a lot of viewers of this show have noticed something: Joe Biden is turning orange. That’s not an exaggeration. Look at the pictures.”

A clip from this segment, which originally aired in August, recently landed on Reddit along with the howling laughter of the person watching Carlson say these things out loud into a camera.
In characteristic Carlson fashion, the host proceeded to ask a series of absurd questions he’ll never answer in regard to the alleged orange-ification of our presidents.
“In other words, the ‘orange man’ is back. What is happening here? Is there something about the White House that turns people orange? Is it the water? Is it something else? We don’t know, but we are going to stay on that story.”
It seems likely (though it’s hard to tell with Carlson) that this is an attempt at trolling liberals, who routinely pointed out Trump’s odd habit of wearing foundation that did not match his natural skin tone. It might not have been the best attempt, however, considering the fact that Carlson himself looks pretty much just as orange as Biden does in those photos provided by Fox News.
Then there’s the known phenomenon of Fox News routinely Photoshopping images of people they don’t like in order to make them look worse than they do. It’s very easy to change the tint of someone’s face in any basic photo editing program, and actual footage of Biden outside of the network’s color filter easily shows that the current president is not, in fact, turning orange.
Regardless, the video has become a hit on Reddit, with commenters praising Carlson’s ability to remain stone-faced while reporting on the most ridiculous non-issue he could come up with and actually saying “we are going to stay on this story.” This praise, of course, is in between a whole lot of mockery concerning Tucker Carlson’s whole deal.
