Actress Candace Cameron Bure really thought she had something posting a TikTok video highlighting the fact that she’s conservative and claiming to be working in Hollywood on a social platform catering to young people, who tend to lean leftward. With overlay text reading “When you’re conservative in Hollywood,” she lip-synced to audio from a more popular video ironically titled “I am a Socialist.”

The video has gained over 8.4 million views since it was posted on Wednesday, along with tens of thousands of comments, many making fun of Bure for thinking she’s oh-so-special for being a conservative actor, as though there aren’t plenty of those already.
Others came to simply ask who this woman is. She’s probably best known for her role as D.J. Tanner on Full House, who was not exactly the most-loved character, and don’t forget she’s posting on a platform full of people likely too young to have seen Full House. After that role, she did a lot of made-for-TV movies, particularly with Hallmark. These career details have many suggesting that she’s not so much “Hollywood” as she is “Studio City.”
Some went as far as making response videos to point this out.
“You ain’t in Hollywood,” says TikTok user @iamblackmorty. “You in Hallmark movies, baby. Also, the title of this sound is ‘I Am a socialist.’ Also, there’s a drag queen speaking. I’m so glad you’re down for both.”

Another user and nurse jumped on the opportunity to knock Bure down a peg.
“How are you the drama?” another @musclesandnursing. “You’re just another washed-up celebrity turned anti-vax. You’re like Clipart. Or Windows stock photo images. Bye.”
Others simply could not get over the fact that she literally used audio titled “I am a Socialist.”
Though some commenters jumped on to state the obvious, that it’s okay to have different opinions or whatever, many others were similarly dragging her for her sad attempt to be relevant.
“In order to be the drama you have to be relevant,” reads one of the top comments.
“Imagine being the 8th most famous actor from a show three decades ago and thinking you’re ‘in Hollywood,’” wrote another user.
