A couple of Fox News heads decided to watch and critique a video from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez talking about her friendship with Sen. Bernie Sanders. Both of the politicians have a lot in common, like Democratic Socialism and being two of the few members of Congress who seem to care about anyone making under $500,000 a year.

AOC is much younger than Sanders, and a very attractive woman, so of course Fox News had to turn her normal comment about their relationship and make it super weird.
In the clip, AOC says that she and Sanders have regular “one-on-ones” in response to a viewer’s question, saying they’re both colleagues and she likes talking to him because he makes her “happy.”

Admittedly, she does say it in a goofy voice, but it’s a voice that’s recognizable as a young person affect online. She’s being nice. Of course the men watching don’t get it:
The two guys respond with incredulity, saying over and over again that women don’t talk to them like that and they don’t talk about friends like that. They’re actually so close to understanding that the problem is they have horrible interpersonal relationships, but don’t make it there. Instead, they imply AOC has some sort of sexual relationship with Bernie Sanders and that she’s “on the sauce.”
People are mocking them in turn on social media for being so unable to understand positive human relationships:

Yes, if you want AOC to talk about you like that, just dedicate yourself to public service and the fight for social justice for multiple decades instead of getting paid to be a jerk on network TV.
