Actor Jon Voight posted a video of himself in front of a plain backdrop and dramatically reading from cue cards about how the 2020 election and subsequent fight over unfounded claims of fraud is “the battle of righteousness vs. Satan.”

“Yes, Satan,” he confirms. “Because these leftists are evil, corrupt, and they want to tear down this nation. We must not allow this.”

As with similar videos and statements, Twitter has flagged the Voight post with a warning that the allegations within are “disputed.” It does not, however, warn about Jon Voight calling for Trump supporters to rise up in what he calls “the greatest fight since the Civil War.”

“Let us give our trust to God,” he continues, “and fight now for Trump’s victory because we all know this ballot count is corruption like they are. So let us not back down. Let us fight this fight as if it is our last fight on Earth.”

He finished by saying that he was quoting Muhammad Ali, but the boxer never actually said that.

Voight has been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump for years, and this isn’t the first time that he’s suggested the outgoing president is ordained by God for some kind of holy battle. Trump himself retweeted another video made by the actor back in June containing similar rhetoric.

“And to have left-wing behavior, left-wing danger, destroying this nation, He will not allow, because my fellow Americans, God the Almighty gave all this to us, so we as a civilization with all our greatness must give back and we shall protect the USA with God, and He who understands this Liberty must protect as well,” Voight said before encouraging people to vote for Trump.

Many commenters on this latest video are calling for Twitter to take it down, concerned that it will incite Trump supporters to violence. Others have some notes for Voight’s performance.

“Couldn’t they find an actor that could memorize lines?” asked HappyToast. “Reading them from off camera is so amateur.”
