A TikTok user and clear transphobe posted a now-deleted video claiming a “new” sexuality called “super straight” as a way to try and dodge the transphobia label, saying that he’s only attracted to “real” women.

The video went viral as people condemned the action of trying to invent a sexual orientation as nothing more than a cover for hating trans people.

The Tiktok user, identified as Kyle Royce, complained in the video that people were rightly calling him transphobic because he’s a straight man but refuses to date any trans women without even meeting them.
“So now I’m super straight,” he says. “I only date the opposite gender — women that are born women. So you can’t say I’m transphobic now because that’s just my sexuality, you know?”
Of course, refusing to accept someone else’s gender is not a sexuality, it’s just bigotry, and people picked that up real fast. Unfortunately for everybody involved, those people included actual Nazis, who loved that “super straight” could be abbreviated to “SS”.

According to reporter John Sundholm, Nazis and other terrible people on internet cesspool 4chan even plotted to use the “super straight” thing to create conflict within LGBTQ+ communities.
“After Royce’s TikTok gained traction, it caught the attention of 4chan trolls, who talked about using it to ‘drive a wedge’ between LGBTQ people and ‘use the left’s tactics against themselves, call them bigots for not accepting super straights,’” Sundholm writes.
Although most LGBTQ+ folks immediately dismissed the idea of “super straight” as clear transphobic nonsense, the idea successfully permeated so-called “gender critical” accounts on Twitter. These individuals, who often call themselves feminists and pretend to be progressive, have been caught time and time again colluding with far-right groups to push transphobic agendas.

Thankfully, for anyone who is actually confused about the topic of transphobia and not just hateful of anything they don’t personally understand, there are already many explainer videos out there.
