Giuliani Mocked For Rant About Mickey Mouse, JFK, Voter Fraud In Bonkers Court Hearing

The Trump administration’s election fraud case is going about as well as you would expect, with their lawyers so far losing nearly every time they’ve come before a judge on this issue. One particular case in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, was argued by Trump lawyer and prank magnet Rudy Giuliani, and of course he turned the courtroom into a circus tent.

At one point, in spite of admitting that they could not point to a single specific case of voter fraud to support the allegations that it was widespread, he evoked Mickey Mouse to claim that nobody knew who was voting.

“As far as we’re concerned, your honor, those ballots could’ve been from Mickey Mouse,” he said.

Thankfully, we have poll workers who check that kind of thing, and people who watch them do it.

In his rantings, Giuliani also reportedly brought up an old conspiracy theory about Richard Daley stealing the Chicago mayoral election in 1960 in order to help elect John F. Kennedy as president. It’s been brought up by Republicans so many times while being based on so many falsehoods that The Washington Post gave it myth status.

The entire affair seemed to be little more than performance art for Giuliani, who appeared unprepared and confused about how many ballots he thought were invalid, going from 680,000 to 1.2 million. At one point he had to ask the judge what the word “opacity” means.

“I’m not sure what opacity means. It probably means you can see,” he said. “It’s a big word, your honor.”

Perhaps Rudy can be forgiven seeing as this was the first time he had appeared in court to argue a case as a lawyer in nearly 30 years. However, people might not feel so charitable when they find out that he’s trying to charge the Trump campaign $20,000 per day to embarrass himself in courtrooms and on camera. Or maybe that makes us like him more?

What we know for sure is that the lawyers who are opposing Giuliani in this case definitely do not like him.

“This stuff is disgraceful, in an American courtroom, in any place,” said Philadelphia counsel Mark Aronchick. “Can you imagine anybody understanding a court order cancelling 680,000—or, I think now, according to Mr. Giuliani—1.2 million votes, based on nothing in this amended complaint?”

To top off this disaster sundae, Judge Matthew Brann has announced that the evidentiary hearing for the case that was to take place on Thursday have been cancelled. This likely has something to do with the fact that Giuliani admitted the entire show was not a fraud case. They’ll now move straight to the final briefing so that the Trump lawyer can usher in another loss for the campaign.
