A chaotic set of videos showing a clash between MAGA protestors and people trying to watch the Saks Fifth Avenue holiday window show in New York City are going viral because of what happened when a police officer tried to step in.

Footage posted to TikTok by @megrabah shows a crowd gathered around as two men in particular yell at each other. A man in a MAGA hat insists he didn’t do anything as a guy in a green jacket says he asked the maskless MAGA man to get away from him.

A female police officer comes over and tries to diffuse the situation, but the MAGA man simply ignores her, instead escalating the argument. He yells something about how for “four years, I had to put up with your shit,” seemingly meaning liberals, and the police officer cuts him off.
“I am talking!” she screams. “I don’t give a f—k!” he yells right back.
The back and forth goes on for a while, with the MAGA man turning his ire against the officer, even demanding “Who the f—k are you?” after she gives him an order.

“I’m the f—king police,” she says.
Despite the fact that the officer actually defends the MAGA man’s right to protest in the street to the man in the green jacket, he continues to get confrontational with her.
“Oh, now you want to be friendly with this f—king guy?” he asks. “F—k you.”

Predictably, he finally stops belligerently screaming when two male officers show up to back their colleague.

The whole thing is made more absurd and chaotic when you realize, towards the end of the second video, that the flag pole the MAGA man has been holding the entire time appears to have a Thin Blue Line flag at the top of it, a pro-police symbol that has had a resurgence in popularity among Trump supporters in retaliation against Black Lives Matter protests.
Both videos are incredibly chaotic, but @megrabah attempted to give some context in a series of TikToks she uploaded later.
She said that she and others were lined up early to wait for the Saks show when a group of MAGA protestors showed up for no apparent reason.
“[The group] started shouting profanities, saying how it’s ‘Proud Boys’ turn,’” Megan said. “They were also talking about how they were going to start burning more businesses to the ground. I specifically heard the guy in the MAGA hat say that he wanted to burn Starbucks down.”

(A commenter who said they were present during the altercation debated her account, but Megan later shared footage her boyfriend recorded confirming her claims.)
She said the man in the green jacket approached the MAGA man and told him to leave because they were causing a disturbance in what was supposed to be a family-friendly setting in which kids were present. Obviously, the MAGA man refused, despite people becoming uncomfortable and whipping their phones out to record in case something went down.
That’s the point at which the first police officer showed up, and Megan confirmed that “it wasn’t until a couple of male officers finally showed up that the situation started to de-escalate” due to the man’s disrespect.
Other footage from earlier in the day showed that the MAGA man and the group he was with were doing their best to stir up trouble and trying to goad any liberals in the crowd into a confrontation.

Megan said that she doesn’t know if the man, or anyone else, wound up getting arrested after the chaos finally settled down.
