Right-Wing Pundit Slammed For Comparing COVID Restrictions To The Holocaust

A right-wing media personality and frequent Fox News guest who goes by the name Michael Malice (born Michael Krechmer) is being widely nominated for various “worse tweet” awards after posting an extremely unfortunate opinion on COVID-19 restrictions. Malice, who is reportedly from a Jewish family, seems to fancy himself a cultural provocateur, but many people just call him a troll.

One of his latest tweets finally may get him that negative attention he seems to crave after director Isaac Butler called it “the single dumbest thing anyone has ever tweeted.”

“Replace ‘coronavirus’ with ‘Jews,’ and suddenly the behavior of the 1930s German population becomes eerily similar,” Malice unfortunately wrote.

As it turns out, you can change the meaning of a sentence by switching out key words for other words. In this case, however, Malice has managed to compare the Jewish people to a deadly virus, which may not be the direction he wants to go if he’s against the behavior of the 1930s German population.

Malice has also referred to himself as an “anarchist,” but has appeared on programs such as Joe Rogan’s podcast and the Tucker Carlson show. He also authored The New Right: A Journey to the Fringe of American Politics, which is described as “firsthand account of the movement that permanently broke the American political consensus.”

Even when you try to take Malice’s suggestion at face value, the end result isn’t quite what he said it would be.

“I’ve always said that masks both protect you from Jews, and keep you from giving Jews to other people,” wrote commenter Len Schiff.

Malice has been thoroughly radio’d since hitting “send tweet” on Saturday and appears to have spent his entire weekend responding to people roasting him with weak jokes. Of course, he seems to have skillfully evaded the best ones.
