President Trump has granted clemency to another 29 people as of Wednesday, adding to the growing list of last-minute pardons before he leaves office next month. And, as feared, he’s continuing to toss out personal favors as he hand-waves away the crimes of the rich and useful.

The name that immediately sticks out in this latest round of pardons is Charles Kushner.

Kushner served two years over a decade ago for tax evasion, making false statements to the Federal Election Commission, and witness tampering that involved secretly recording his brother-in-law with a prostitute Kushner himself hired to seduce him. Chris Christie once called what Kushner did “one of the most loathsome, disgusting crimes” he prosecuted as an attorney.

Of course, Charles Kushner is the father of Jared Kushner, who is married to Trump’s daughter, Ivanka.

Other notable pardons granted by the outgoing president now include former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and personal pal Roger J. Stone Jr.

Both failed to cooperate in Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, and it was long expected that Trump would simply pardon them for taking a hit for him.

Margaret Hunter, whose Republican politician husband was pardoned on Tuesday, was also granted clemency in this round. Both Hunters had been charged with misusing campaign funds and pled guilty.

It’s difficult to be outraged about these pardons going out to Trump allies again and again when it’s exactly what we’ve come to expect from the president. As mentioned when similarly questionable pardons were granted on Monday, every bit of this sends the message that Trump is happy to flex his executive powers to help anyone he feels has been loyal to him or who he will benefit from having in his debt — regardless of the crime, regardless of the optics.

As before, the question now remains: Who will Trump pardon next?
