Alt-right troll, avid conspiracy theorist, pusher of the white supremacist “white genocide” theory, and OAN employee Jack Posobiec recently threw in a contender for “worst tweet of the year” with a tweet suggesting we invent vaccines. Every now and then, anti-vaxxers manage to reinvent vaccines, and it’s never not funny.

“What if instead of a vaccine we just were able to get exposed to a weak version of the virus that enabled us to build the antibodies we need to fight the real thing,” he asked without a question mark.

This, of course, is literally what a vaccine is.
Posobiec, known for promoting the bonkers “Pizzagate” conspiracy theory and hiring neo-Nazis to make a documentary for him, has since claimed that his initial tweet was some kind of joke, but nobody can figure out what the purpose of the joke is. Considering his history, many immediately believed that he was being sincere, which just confirmed their opinions of what kind of person Posobiec is.

It’s also not unusual for far-right figures to say incredibly stupid things and then pretend they were joking.

It does, however, appear that Posobiec tweeted the exact same thing in response to a Newsmax article back in May, which supports the idea that he was again being a troll. It’s just bizarre that he thinks it’s so funny to get himself dragged over and over because everyone assumes he’s ignorant enough to mean it.

Either way, hundreds were soon chiming in to make statements that were clearly jokes echoing Posobiec’s sentiments.
