Mitch McConnell’s House Vandalized After Refusal To Consider $2000 Stimulus Checks

Mitch McConnell’s refusal to let the Senate vote on increasing stimulus checks to $2000 has angered struggling Americans across the country. But in Louisville, Kentucky, where the Senate Majority Leader theoretically lives when he’s not in D.C., that anger took a criminal turn — someone vandalized his home.

“WERES [sic] MY MONEY” and “MITCH KILLS THE POOR” were among the messages spray-painted across McConnell’s home, which is estimated to be worth nearly $600,000, leaving no questions regarding the motivation behind the vandalism.

Americans have gotten no financial relief since the original round of $1200 stimulus checks went out last spring. The House of Representatives pushed a simple increase from $600 to $2000 on to the Senate with the support of both Democrats and Republicans, and President Trump himself has insisted $2000 checks are necessary. Members of both parties in the Senate expressed their support for the increase, as well.

But McConnell, who it’s always worth pointing out was only elected by a small group of people in Kentucky, had the ability to stop a vote on the increase from happening before Congress took another break, and he did.

“I’ve spent my career fighting for the First Amendment and defending peaceful protest,” he said, regarding the vandalism. “I appreciate every Kentuckian who has engaged in the democratic process whether they agree with me or not. This is different. Vandalism and the politics of fear have no place in our society.”

While McConnell may have denounced the vandalism, people online didn’t seem to have much sympathy for the man who has demonstrated again and again that he has no interest in helping the American people.

House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi also had her San Francisco house vandalized over New Year’s Eve. “CANCEL RENT! WE WANT EVERYTHING!” was spray-painted on the garage, and a fake pig’s head and fake blood were left in her driveway.

There’s been a lot of frustration with Pelosi from the leftover the last few years for not taking a stronger stance on issues that matter. Were this graffiti related to something other than the stimulus increase, which she clearly and openly supported, it might be believable. However, the addition of an “anarchy” symbol and the way no paint got on the bricks has some people wondering if the graffiti was a false flag meant to implicate leftists.

No one has been arrested in either vandalism case as of yet.
