Hell is starting to feel a bit chilly today as people from all over the political spectrum come out to decry the freezing of GameStop and AMC stock after a bunch of Redditors banded together to take on a hedge fund company.

Senator Ted Cruz and failson Donald Trump Jr. have both sided with Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who called for a hearing into the actions of the financial services company Robinhood.

In case you missed it, GameStop’s stock value skyrocketed the other day after Reddit users on the “WallStreetBets” forum found out a hedge fund company was heavily shorting the stock, making money on the video game store’s slow collapse.
The Redditors nearly brought down Melvin Capitol overnight using apps and websites like Robinhood that allow everyday people to trade stocks.
In response, Robinhood stopped allowing users to buy stock in GameStop and other Reddit favorites like AMC, though it still allows them to sell, forcing the prices back down. Now everyone is angry because there are clearly two different sets of rules — one for the rich, who are still allowed to buy whatever stock they want, and another for the rest of us.

“This is unacceptable,” Rep. Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “We now need to know more [email protected]’s decision to block retail investors from purchasing stock while hedge funds are freely able to trade the stock as they see fit.”
Ted Cruz later quote tweeted this statement with a simple message: “Fully agree.”

Even Donald Trump Jr. is on board this crowded train.
“It took less than a day for big tech, big government and the corporate media to spring into action and begin colluding to protect their hedge fund buddies on Wall Street,” said the man forced to pay $2 million for misusing his charity foundation. “This is what a rigged system looks like, folks!”
He then retweeted the post pointing out the weirdness of AOC and Don Jr. agreeing on anything.
Ocasio-Cortez, however, is not ready to forgive the likes of Ted Cruz just yet after she had to go through that whole attempted coup thing.

“I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out,” she said. “Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying to get me killed.”
“In the meantime if you want to help, you can resign.”
