Seth Rogen, Ted Cruz Escalate Twitter Fight After Senator Calls Actor “Marxist With Tourette’s”

If you stayed off Twitter over the weekend, you may have missed the latest tweetstorm between Seth Rogen and Senator Ted Cruz.

Rogen has rarely been one to hold back from letting right-wing politicians know what he thinks of them, and if anything, the insurrection at the Capitol has only made him ready to call out any of those who attempted to undermine our democracy.

And while that has extended to quite a few politicians at this point, Cruz is the genius who decided to get into a Twitter war with the actor — one that’s really not making him look too great.

It started out with this idiotic tweet from Cruz claiming that President Biden’s decision to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement has something to do with the citizens of Paris:

It didn’t take long for Cruz to resort to one of the GOP’s favorite lies, which is that the Democrat party is for Hollywood elites and that Republicans are the ones out there supporting blue-collar workers.

“Go encourage a white supremacist insurrection again you f—king clown,” Rogen tweeted in response, also reminding Cruz that he — like many people in Hollywood — is a union member.

The back-and-forth continued:

And, as of this moment, it has culminated here:

The whole thing got so out of hand that Cruz supporters tried to get #SethRoganLovesTedCruz trending over the weekend (and yes, they did spell his name wrong).

Meanwhile people on the same page as Rogen came after Cruz with actual information regarding why people are so angry with him right now.

Cruz may be trying to shift the narrative surrounding him to something more innocuous — like a Twitter “feud” — but the insistence of Rogen and others to keep the pressure on and keep calling him out for his involvement in the attack on democracy will hopefully make Cruz’s transparent game fail.
