The people surrounding Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump’s Florida club where he often spends his time, have made no secret of the fact that they despise having the former president essentially taking up residence there.

And when he returned following President Joe Biden’s inauguration, they made sure he received a welcome he wouldn’t forget.

Banners reading “Trump Worst President Ever” and “Trump You Pathetic Loser Go Back To Moscow” flew through the sky over the weekend, visible from Mar-a-Lago.

It’s unclear just yet who is responsible for the banners, but there are certainly many with motive.

Some of his neighbors are actively attempting to oust him from making Mar-a-Lago his residence, something that was prohibited according to an agreement he signed back in 1993 when he turned it into the club it is today.

And a lot of the staff have reportedly been quitting, as they’re nervous about being associated with the former president following the Capitol riots and the legal battles he may face as a result.

Mediaite also offered up a reminder that Trump’s visits to Mar-a-Lago actually put a local company called Skywords Advertising in a lot of financial trouble, as every time he spent weekends there, they had to cancel their advertising contracts because they weren’t allowed to fly planes nearby. Back in 2017, they told the Palm Beach Post that they had returned $250,000 to customers whose banners they had to cancel thanks to Trump.

No matter the culprit, the less-than-friendly greeting is getting a laugh on Twitter — at Trump’s expense, of course.

Considering how much they loathe his presence, it’s going to be interesting to see what other ways the people of Palm Beach come up with to let Trump know they want him gone. But insulting banners is definitely starting off with a strong and clear message.
