The husband of U.S. Rep. Mary Miller, Chris, has admitted to The Daily Beast that the pickup truck spotted at the Capitol on the day of the insurrection with the Three Percenter sticker belongs to him.

Rep. Miller, you might recall, was the congresswoman who quoted Adolf Hitler during a Moms for America rally on January 5, 2021.

“Hitler was right on one thing,” she told the moms. “He said, ‘Whoever has the youth has the future.'”
Three Percenters, also known as III%ers or “Threepers,” are a far-right militia organization known for their violent actions and vicious bigotry against those they perceive as enemies, particularly Muslim individuals and immigrants. They are listed by the Anti-Defamation League under the “extremism, terrorism & bigotry” tag.

Chris Miller claimed that he was unaware of the existence of the Three Percenters and had their logo on his truck because a friend gave it to him and he thought it looked cool.
“Army friend gave me decal,” he wrote in an email. “Thought it was a cool decal. Took it off because of negative pub.”
He denied being a member of the group and said he “didn’t know anything about 3% till fake news started this fake story and read about them.”

It’s unclear what Chris thinks is fake about this story that he made happen by having the sticker on his truck and then admitting it. It also seems unlikely that he would put that decal on his vehicle just because he thought it looked “cool,” because it doesn’t. It’s just a Roman numeral three surrounded by stars.
However, at the very least, we know that the husband of the Hitler-quoting congresswoman is friends with a man associated with the Threepers, none of which is fake news.
Online sleuths were able to connect the truck to the Millers after noticing that the same make, model, and color pickup with the same plates appeared with the couple at campaign events.
They are not the first Republican members of federal congress to be associated with the Threepers, either. Rep. Lauren Boebert posed for a photo at a pro-gun rally in 2019 with a number of young men flashed a hand sign associated with the group.
Rep. Miller has already had to apologize for quoting Hitler but has not yet issued a statement about her husband’s truck being parked among insurrectionists on January 6.
