The teen, who ABC13 identified as Carlos, was stopped by the officer at a Shell garage on Friday and the footage was captured by the GoPro mounted on his ATV. The cop demands the teenager show him a license then yells at Carlos for trying to run away from him.

“He just looked at my ID for like two seconds and said to put my hands behind my back,” Carlos told ABC13. “That’s when I panicked a little and pulled away from him and he grabbed me.”

“Don’t run from me boy, I will beat your ass right here,” he yells at Carlos in the video. “Turn around and put your hands behind your back before I beat the sh-t out of you. Don’t be f-cking stupid!”

Then he absolutely slams the teen in the head.

Carlos was handcuffed and charged with evading arrest, but the video was seen by the Harris County Police Department and the officer has been put on desk duty.

At some point during the incident, the officer accused Carlos of having run from him before. The teen says that he and his friends ride their ATVs regularly, and they’re not road-legal, so they’ve tried to evade authorities in the past. But he doesn’t remember this deputy and said he had stopped to get gas for the ATV, which doesn’t seem like it should lead to violent assault.

“I just don’t think I should be treated in that manner for riding on the street,” said Carlos. “A lot of 16-year-olds got ATVs … (they) want to have fun with their friends.”

There is supposedly an internal affairs investigation underway.
