If you’re a Donald Trump supporter and you wish there more Donald Trump supporters in the entertainment world, you’re probably pretty excited about “The Mandalorian” actress Gina Carano’s recent anti-mask and voting conspiracy tweets. But if you’re not, you might agree with the #FireGinaCarano hashtag that has sprung up.

Carano, who plays Cara Dune in the Star Wars spinoff series, showed her discontent with the 2020 election the Thursday after Election Day, when the count was still taking place.

The morning that several major news outlets called the election for Joe Biden, she retweeted this message from right-wing news network Newsmax—which still has not called the election for Biden.

She also announced she set up an account on Parler, a Twitter alternative regarded as a haven for right-wing voices.

But it was a pair of mask-related tweets that appears to have definitively launched the anti-Carano hashtag. One declares, as “breaking news,” that “Democratic Government Leaders now recommends (sic) we all wear blindfolds along with mask so we can’t see what’s really going on.” The other reads, “In a world where everyone wears a mask, it’s a privilege to see a soul,” which appears more of a greeting card sentiment but still registers as anti-mask when you unpack it.

While many of the tweets using the hashtag come from sci-fi fans who don’t want their politics and their entertainment to cross the streams, some fans have also alleged she’s “mocked pronouns” in the past.

And, of course, some fans weighed in with their own ideas for how to replace Carano.

There were also suggestions to work Jar Jar Binks into “The Mandalorian” milieu, but those did not appear to be getting Twitter traction.
