After losing the billionaire space race to that other guy, former Amazon CEO and current richest man in the world Jeff Bezos for some reason still took his own trip into low orbit, where you’re not technically in outer space but you can float around and pretend. While the first kind-of-not-really space trip by a billionaire while people all over the world are facing deadly heat waves and seeing their homes destroyed by flooding thanks to capitalism-fueled climate change was considered a joke, Bezos managed to get up there in a rocket that looks more like a penis than most.

As you might imagine, the internet is filled to the brim with jokes and memes about this little field trip, especially after Bezos had the unmitigated audacity to thank Amazon workers for paying for it.

Yeah, we want our money back.
Many millions of disgruntled non-billionaires can at least take some comfort in knowing that Bezos returned to Earth’s surface to be greeted by a cascade of mockery over his rocket, his giant waste of money, and his very existence. Considering the fact that there was literally a petition circulating to deny him entry back onto the planet, he really should not be surprised.
