Joe Rogan Worries Giving Into Woke Culture Will Result In Straight White Men Not Being ‘Allowed To Talk’

Fear Factor host turned MMA announcer turned man who never stops talking Joe Rogan expressed concern on his podcast that enjoys millions of listeners that he and his fellow straight white men will soon no longer be allowed to talk at all now that other kinds of people are getting air time. Rogan and his “learn to take a joke” cohorts worried over this while discussing a mental health podcast in which the host, a straight white man, talked with his guests about privilege and being considerate about what you say, particularly to large audiences.

“They were literally discussing earnestly how straight white men shouldn’t really try to be funny,” said guest Joe List.

This idea of needing to think before he speaks sent Rogan into full Alex Jones-style panic over a future where he and men like him will all be confined to their homes where only their long-suffering families will have to listen to his inane chatter.

“It keeps going further and further and further down the line,” said Rogan. “And if you get to the point where you capitulate, where you agree to all these demands, it’ll eventually get to [where] straight white men are not allowed to talk because it’s your privilege to express yourself when other people of color have been silenced throughout history. It’ll be, you’re not allowed to go outside because so many people were imprisoned for so many years.”

“I’m not joking. It really will get there.”

It won’t, of course, get there. If human history has anything to teach us, it’s that it’s not the privileged who ever end up silenced. Particularly not the ones who nab $100 million streaming deals for podcasts that get around 11 million listeners per episode.

Rogan went on to call the current culture of examining power structures and social hierarchies “weirdness,” lamenting the “crazy f—ing times,” completely unaware that humans have done exactly this throughout our history. Just because they didn’t have the term “wokeness” doesn’t erase every peasant uprising and other revolution against unfair oppressive forces.

Anyone who doesn’t have a huge podcast following and has actually faced issues with being silenced or generally ignored by society had something to say about Rogan’s fear of not being able to talk.
