Man Forgets To Put His Truck In Park During Florida Road Rage Fail

Getting into a fight with a stranger over something that happened on the road is almost always a stupid idea, whether you’re both still in moving vehicles or not. But if you insist upon doing it, and you get OUT of the vehicle…at least make sure it isn’t still moving on without you.

Video taken in Flagler County, Florida, shows a man making that absurd mistake, and it goes about as well as you’d expect.

A large man in a green shirt, later identified as William Markert, gets out of a big ole pickup truck as another man with a motorcycle waits patiently for whatever it is he wants. But Markert apparently forgot to put his truck in park, and it starts rolling down the neighborhood street without him.

The motorcycle guy actually helpfully points to it to let him know, and Markert barely manages to hop back in and bring it to a stop before it does some actual damage, as it was crossing a driveway and heading for someone’s yard at the time.

But THEN…Markert actually returns back to the dude still waiting by his motorcycle and picks a fight anyway. He shoves the smaller man and backs him up off the road as a car nearby honks.

The footage ends, however, with Markert flailing on his back on the ground as the other guy takes the upper hand.

According to deputies who responded to the incident, Markert had yelled out the window and signaled for the motorcyclist to slow down when he passed him on the road, which resulted in them both stopping. Markert told them the man had been speeding, but also claimed the other man was the aggressor and he got physical with him out of self-defense — which the video clearly disproves.

Markert was ultimately arrested for battery thanks to the video and the bruising on the other man’s face.

Meanwhile, the internet was seriously cringing at both Markert’s behavior and epic fails. 

“3 times his size (in weight) and you still end up on your ass. Always a p—sy truck driver,” u/Mralfredmullaney commented on a Reddit post about it.

“This is for anyone reading this: your fight cred immediately goes down if you pick a fight while wearing CROCS,” @justintheroofer wrote on TikTok.
