Rae’s apparent interaction with the most controversial man in the country was captured by Canadian YouTubers NELK. The group was seated behind where the conversation took place, and the room was dark, but the two people involved appear to be Rae and Trump.

In the short clip, Rae can be seen making her way towards Trump as everyone is already seated. Once there, she taps him on the shoulder and offers out her hand — “I’m Addison. Nice to meet you. I have to say hi. Hello. So nice to meet you.”

Rae has previously fought off accusations of being a Republican, but fans are having a hard time figuring out why she would have made such an obvious effort to go across the room and “have to” introduce herself to the man many hold responsible for the January insurrection and the current political turmoil happening within the United States.

Others are seriously not surprised by this turn of events.

Of course, there were a lot of people who defended Rae chatting up Trump, too.

At just 20, Rae has already survived her fair share of social media scandals, so getting “canceled” isn’t likely here, but if her actions online and in real life don’t seem to quite add up, it seems reasonable that her fans would demand answers. Whether they end up getting them or not is another issue.
