A TikToker named @johnehall was surprised to find out she wasn’t “allowed” to go into a dog park behind her house that she regularly uses when a white woman tried to kick her out. It’s not entirely clear what is going on, but she posted the clip of the woman standing behind a fence with her own dog looking smug, and over it used the TikTok audio that says, “When you’re Black you’re never really lonely because there will always be a White person all up in your business.“

She captioned it with this minimal explanation, “Just trying to use the dog park behind my house that I’ve used for years [laugh crying emoji] she says IM not allowed to use it #karen #toofunny #notfazedtho.”

There’s a second video which in some ways is more mysterious than the first. In this clip, the neighbor is being confronted, seemingly on a different day because her outfit has changed and there’s no dog in sight. Several people have gathered to call this lady to account, and based on what they say, it seems like she has been harassing the BIPOC people in her neighborhood regularly, then writing them apology letters of some kind.
“You need to stop harassing my kids, stop videotaping them, stop calling the police on them,” one woman’s voice says to the woman. “Do not send me any more cards in the mail apologizing for your actions and the way you act towards my children.“
A man’s voice adds, “Because you’re still doing it.“
“Everybody says, ‘She’s a retired school teacher,’ but they don’t understand the interactions you have with my children when nobody else is around,” the woman adds. “You wanna get slapped with a civil suit? Keep f—ing with kids and that’s what’s going to happen.”
These TikToks really paint a whole web of racist behavior in this neighborhood, but maybe the scariest part is that this lady used to be a school teacher. At least now she can’t get away with what she’s been doing—the adults are here.
