A couple of anti-vaxxers threw a temper tantrum after a New York pizzeria, adhering to the city’s vaccine mandate, asked them to show their vaccination card or get out.

Ray Velez started recording after getting in an argument with an employee at Juliana’s Pizza in Brooklyn, who requested his vaccination card prior to serving him and his family.

The request follows New York City’s current mandate, which requires everyone 12 and older to show proof of getting at least the first round of a COVID-19 vaccine in order to engage in certain indoor activities, such as eating at a restaurant or going to the theater. Businesses that don’t comply are faced with fines.

But Velez wasn’t interested in the employee’s explanation and opted to cause a scene. “So you’re going to enforce segregation?” he asked. “‘Cause we just told you that we’re religiously exempt.”

The would-be customer insisted that he and his family were not going to leave, and continued to go off even after the employee walked away.

“We just marched for this,” Velez said, before raising his voice to address the entire restaurant. “Everybody in here is okay with that? Everybody in here’s okay with setting up segregation in society? Everybody’s okay with that? Oh, we don’t have our vaccine cards so now the kids can’t eat. We can’t eat. You guys are okay with that? This is the America you want to live in?”

Shouts of “yup” were heard from multiple tables, and one guy a few tables away held up his middle finger in lieu of a verbal response.

“No, f—k you!” Velez shouted, telling the man that he’s “not American” and needs to “get the f—k out of here” if he’s not American, because apparently the supposed right to service (which we should all know is not a “right” when it comes to privately owned businesses) is only something Velez wants for himself.

Both Velez and the woman with him continued shouting at other diners and causing a scene, insisting they wouldn’t leave until they and the two young children with them were served. The employee eventually returned and again tried to explain the situation and ask them to go, but the video ends with them still locked in a stand off.

Velez posted the video to his own social media, where fellow anti-vaxxers expressed their support and vowed to boycott Juliana’s Pizza. But it soon spread to other parts of the internet, prompting condemnation of the atrocious and entitled behavior Velez and the woman with him displayed, along with their attempts to cause trouble for a local business.

Juliana’s Pizza also issued a statement reiterating their desire to follow New York City mandates concerning vaccines and providing safer options for the unvaccinated who actually want pizza more than they want to drum up drama for social media clout.
