If Mark Twain was right when he wrote, “Against the assault of laughter, nothing can stand,” then AOC just KO’d Sarah Palin.

In a Fox News interview on Thursday, Palin ridiculed AOC for her criticism of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott over the new Texas law that bans abortion after week 6 of pregnancy.

Palin had harsh words for AOC, calling her a “fake feminist” and saying “she should be embarrassed.”
As usual, Palin’s main problem was that she seemed to have zero comprehension of the events she was supposed to be weighing in on. In between spluttering accusations of AOC “milking it,” Palin fixed viewers a special plate of her world-famous word salad, blathering, “She is such a fake feminist that she would bring up an issue like this and try to use it to make some kind of political point—that’s not equality, right?”
Sure, Sarah. Equality has never been political in this country. Ever.
We’re not saying Sarah Palin didn’t watch AOC’s articulate, intelligent interview with Anderson Cooper before she started complaining on Fox News. We’re just saying that after Palin tuned in, she probably got distracted by the gorgeous views of Russia she has from her house. Otherwise, she might have realized that “not equality” is attempting to obliterate the reproductive rights of women and nonbinary folx.
AOC responded by offering Palin emotional support—in the form of a new hotline where Palin can vent her discordant, miserable nonsense.
“Does my existence make you mad?” AOC asks in the clip, with a poised smile and a smooth tone. “Does the fact that, yes, I am a mouthpiece for the people of New York’s 14th Congressional District upset you? Well, I have help for you. Call 1-800-CRY-NOW. That’s 1-800-CRY-NOW.”

Soon thereafter, AOC tweeted that the hotline actually has a corresponding website where viewers can donate to 10 Texas-based reproductive healthcare providers.
Another update quickly followed, when AOC tweeted that over $250,000 has already been raised through the website.
More good news quickly followed: the DOJ announced that it has filed a lawsuit against Texas over the abortion ban. The lawsuit accuses Texas of openly defying the Constitution with their new legislation, and argues against the legality of the state implementing incentives for civilians to enforce the ban by privately suing people who seek reproductive healthcare.
