A white high school teacher with a history of misconduct in various other school districts was filmed fighting a Black student in a school hallway. The Daily Mail reports that William Bennet was a science teacher at Moore High School in Louisville, Kentucky, and he is being investigated for his actions on August 24, just a couple of days into the new school year.

In the video, Bennet, who is maskless, is lying on top of a Black student on the ground yelling for security as several other students try to wrestle him off.

“Ain’t no goddamn security, n—a, get the f-ck of him!” another student responds. They manage to get Bennet up, but he grabs onto the student’s hair and won’t let go, like an eel. Some people pin him against the lockers while others try to break his grip. It is extremely disturbing and bizarre behavior, especially from an educator.
Bennet was fired from another school district in 2001, Courier-Journal reports, after he was arrested for breaking into his girlfriend’s apartment to see if she was cheating on him. While at that job in Elizabethtown Independent Schools, he was written up a number of times, once for referring to students as “a bunch of monkeys,” and another time for accusing students who didn’t laugh at sexual jokes he made “Nazi humorists.” He had a physical altercation with a student in which he kicked a trash can, then knocked the student’s desk over as he tried to get up.
Bennet also worked in Bullit county as a teacher, where he was suspended without pay for five days after a series of inappropriate remarks; greatest hits include “I could just slap you,” “I love guns; I love the Second Amendment; take it away, I shoot you,” and “feminists are modern-day Nazis.”
In April 2019, he was reported to the teacher certification board, but they dismissed his case after he completed some “training.” The series of videos he was asked to watch Bennet called “emotionally vacuous,” and he wrote to the board that he did not “qualify as an individual with emotional control problems.”
Bennet did not disclose any of these disciplinary actions when applying for his job at Jefferson.
The student being attacked in the video admitted he threw the first punch after Bennet told him he “would just be another black boy shot.”

On Friday, a spokesperson told the Daily Mail that Bennett was working a non-teaching job with pay as the incident is being reported, which kind of sounds like this man will live to teach again until he has been ejected from every school county in Kentucky.
