People Share The ‘Unreasonable Expectations’ For What People In Their Profession Look Like

We don’t go to movies and television for a glimpse at reality, we go for adventures and hotties. It still feels pretty hilarious when you see how a job is presented in media when it’s your actual job in real life. The writers never get it right! And the casting? Forget it. No one who looks like George Clooney is going into medicine.

Writer and journalist Joanna Robinson really got people worked up over this phenomenon when she tweeted, “Who sets an unreasonable expectation for what people in your profession look like?”

Then she shared a photo of Trent Crimm, formerly of The Independent, who you might recognize from Ted Lasso. While he’s not George Clooney, he does have a sultriness few real journalists have the energy to muster.
