Right-Wing Activist Gets Lit Up For Claiming ‘Conservative Hollywood Is Better Than Liberal Hollywood’

Typically speaking, artists tend to have more liberal politics than people who work in the military. Hollywood is considered a liberal world, especially because so many celebs dedicate their award wins to whatever the political issue of the time is, and for a while there it was Donald Trump (and might soon be again). A lot of Trump’s cronies and other conservatives who are deeply invested in a culture war like to lash out against these Hollywood elites and it’s usually pretty embarrassing for them.

But it was especially embarrassing for Brigitte Gabriel, founder of ACT for America, on Twitter this week. She tried to strike a blow for conservatives in Hollywood by tweeting a list of names of people who are openly Republican, writing:

A common theme on this list is that most of them aren’t famous and of those few that are, several have ruined their reputations with drunken, racist tirades on camera. Mel Gibson isn’t remembered as fondly as she thinks!

People were very happy to come in and dunk on Gabriel’s claims that Conservative Hollywood is packing talent. From my perspective, it doesn’t really matter that much what a celebrity’s politics are, because anyone that rich is probably pretty terrible no matter who they vote for. But these are still funny:
