Everyone loves Halloween costumes. Even if you’re not a fan of playing dress-up yourself, seeing the creativity that goes into all the different ways people find to transform into their favorite pop culture icons or spooky/sexy monsters is deeply enjoyable. Anyone who disagrees is already wearing a permanent costume as a fun-sucking ghoul. Facts.

But one TikTok channel is taking things to the next level and actually treating people as if they really are whatever they dressed up pretending to be.

@cheeseparade, described as “comedy by Scott [Bigos] and his friends,” posted a series of videos in which they pretended to be a news crew and asked super serious questions of those costumed folks wandering by on the street.

The result was a hilarious compilation spanning seven videos (and counting?) where people dressed up as everything from from Gandalf to a cheeseburger were put on the spot and expected to stay on character.

And since Halloween for adults tends to be as much about drinking as anything else, there were definitely some people along the way who seemed to think they were getting interviewed by a real news station and took the opportunity to slur whatever was on their minds.

The videos went over really well with viewers watching at home, at least one of whom lauded the video series as “the most chaotic thing I’ve ever seen.”

“Why is everyone so dam [sic] funny in this,” asked u/Nimsdagod after a compilation was shared on Reddit. “It’s like this dude is interviewing improv actors who all decided to flashmob the same downtown halloween scene.”

“I saw the [run] time and thought ‘no way I’m watching this.’ But yeah I watched it,” u/WeUsedToBeGood admitted, which is basically the biggest compliment someone can pay a video on the internet over 90 seconds long.

The quotable lines alone had everyone watching on both Reddit and TikTok just spamming the comment sections with repeats of what was already in the video, making it clear just how worthwhile the whole 7+ minutes of content is. So if you’re not quite ready to let go of Halloween this year just yet, this is the definitely the TikTok (series) for you.
