Dropkick Murphys Challenge Neo-Nazis To Fight After They Used Their Song For Promo

The Dropkick Murphys weren’t having it after a group of Boston neo-Nazis decided to start using one of their songs.

The New England Nationalist Social Club (NSC 131) recently utilized “The Boys Are Back” in a video promoting their group, something that was brought to the band’s attention after NSC 131 showed up at a South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade waving a “Keep Boston Irish” banner.

The Dropkick Murphys sent out a cease and desist, but also opted to tweet the group directly to let them know how they felt about the whole thing.

“F—kin Losers. Stop using our song for your little dress up party video,” reads a tweet from their official Twitter. “We will SMASH you.”

A random Twitter user (who later claimed not to be a part of NSC 131), replied by telling them to “link up or shut up” because “131 will rock your sh*t,” and Dropkick frontman Ken Casey was more than happy to oblige.

Sure enough, Saturday rolled around and Casey showed up right where he said he’d be, ready to fight some neo-Nazis.

Others turned out to keep an eye on the potential fight or even help out.

Members of NSC 131, however, were nowhere to be seen.

In a message posted to Telegram last night, NSC-131 implied they won’t be showing up in Southie today to meet the challenge from Dropkick Murphys because they only accept brawl requests through e-mail, not Twitter, and an activist posted a flyer, so that means Communists. pic.twitter.com/f0dSXsNFTh

It wouldn’t have been the first time Casey fought a Nazi.

The singer made headlines back in 2013 for running over to a fan who was allegedly making a Nazi salute during the show, hitting him in the face, and having him thrown out.

“Nazis are not f—king welcome at a Dropkick Murphys show,” he told the crowd. And clearly, his stance has not changed.
