Conspiracy theories have been given a lot of air time in the past several years, what with the rise of QAnon and the refusal of too many conservatives to believe in facts when it comes to COVID.

But even though JFK isn’t being resurrected to anoint Donald Trump the supreme leader of the United States and the COVID vaccine isn’t some method to implant tracking devices into unsuspecting sheeple, there are some things that sound like crazy conspiracy theories but actually aren’t.

Recently, Twitter user @endsanctions asked folks to share examples ofva such things, and they didn’t disappoint. Here are some of the wackiest things that sound totally made up but are generally believed to be legit. But don’t take our word for it — you can research these for yourself, too.
