The Department of Education and GSIS signed a memorandum of agreement where loans incurred by teachers and other DepEd personnel from private lenders would be defrayed under the GSIS Financial Assistance Loans (GFAL) program. DepEd Sec. Ma. Leonor Briones and GSIS President and Gen. Manager Jesus Clint Aranas signed the MOA in front of no less than President Rodrigo Duterte.
