Fox News loves to try and air “gotcha” moments and they’re swarming all over Georgia as people anticipate the upcoming election. There are two Georgia Democratic Senate candidates and if they win, it will flip the Senate, which is a really big deal.

Those candidates are Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock and they’re facing off against GOP Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.

On Wednesday morning, Fox News nepotism correspondent Peter Doocy approached Ossoff during a campaign stop in Marietta, Georgia. Doocy first grilled Ossoff about his qualifications, which the man took as an opportunity to bring up Loeffler and Perdue’s nefarious use of insider info about coronavirus to make some very shady stock sales right before the pandemic broke out.

“Right now we have a crisis of corruption in American politics and since we are live on Fox let me take this opportunity to address directly the Fox audience,” Ossoff said, according to the Daily Beast. “We have two United States senators in Georgia who have blatantly used their offices to enrich themselves.”

But the clip that’s gone viral is of what happened when Doocy asked about allegations that Warnock oversaw a summer camp investigated for abuse in 2002. Charges against him were eventually dropped.

“Any concern that the allegations of wrongdoing against Reverend Warnock could possibly be a drag on the Democratic ticket next week?” Doocy asked.

Instead of getting drawn into an argument, Ossoff defended Warnock and turned the interview into an absolute lambast of Loeffler, calling an associate of hers a “klansman.”

“None whatsoever,” Ossoff said. “Reverend Warnock addressed this issue a year ago and here’s the bottom line: Kelly Loeffler has been campaigning with a klansman. Kelly Loeffler has been campaigning with a klansman.”

Ossoff is referring to recent photos of Loeffler with Chester Doles, who the Daily Beast describes as “a neo-Nazi and longtime Ku Klux Klan member who marched at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville in 2017.”

“She’s stooping to these vicious personal attacks to distract from the fact that she has been campaigning with a former member of the Ku Klux Klan,” Ossoff said. “We deserve better than that.”

Loeffler’s campaign has said she “had no idea who that was” in reference to Doles, but Ossoff’s words have reverberated across the Internet.

Once again, Fox News gets embarrassed by their choice to interview someone who probably doesn’t support their network.
