Tourism Promotions Board chief Cesar Montano has resigned amid alleged irregularities in the P 80-million “Buhay Carinderia.”Montano’s resignation came days after meeting with newly appointed Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat to discuss TBP’s programs including the controversial “Buhay Carinderia.”Romulo-Puyat has said that Montano was on holdover capacity and his tenure would end in June.The private sector concerned with tourism will elect Montano’s replacement.The actor was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte in December 2016.Source: http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/992939/cesar-montano-resigns-as-tourism-promotions-board-chief
