Celebrities Pay Tribute To Late “Jeopardy!” Host Alex Trebek

Beloved Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek died Sunday morning, according to an announcement shared by the long-running quiz show’s Twitter account.

“Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning, surrounded by family and friends,” it read. “Thank you, Alex.”

In March 2019, Trebek revealed that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He underwent treatment, beating the odds by surviving over a year after is diagnosis. And he continued to host Jeopardy!, as he had done since 1984.

Trebek was a game show icon, a man whose presence on television dominates childhood memories of people from all walks of life. And many celebrities came together on Twitter to pay tribute to the late host after the tragic news.
