LeBron James has been one of President Donald Trump’s most visible celebrity critics on Twitter, undoubtedly in no small part because the president has often criticized the NBA player to his supporters, most recently basking while they chanted “LeBron James sucks!” at a rally in Pennsylvania earlier this month. So, when multiple news outlets finally called the 2020 presidential election for Joe Biden on Saturday morning, it didn’t take long for James to publicly celebrate.

The NBA star tweeted just minutes following projections that Biden won Pennsyvlania, tipping his electoral vote total past the 270 mark needed for victory. The tweet shows a short video clip of James himself, smoking a cigar to celebrate the 2020 NBA Championship he won with the Los Angeles Lakers in October.

It also features the Twitter handle for More Than a Vote (@morethanavote), which James launched to encourage Black voter turnout.

He was just getting started, though. Less than 20 minutes later, he posted a Photoshopped image revising one of James’ best moments in a storied basketball career.

The base image is of James in the 2016 NBA Finals, then playing with the Cleveland Cavaliers, delivering a key block against the Golden State Warriors’ Andre Igoudala. It’s then reworked so that Biden is blocking Trump.
(And, as a bonus, the image of Trump appears to be from August 21, 2017, when Trump stared directly at a solar eclipse from the White House’s Truman Balcony.)

King James wasn’t done for the day, tweeting out to Jim Carrey, who has been portraying Biden in recent Saturday Night Live episodes.
While James’ tweeting upset some on the platform — who thought it wasn’t dignified behavior befitting a public figure with over 48 million Twitter followers — others reveled in the dunking.

A few people even offered their own Photoshops.

And Ballislife.com recalled that Biden and his 2008 and 2012 running mate, President Barack Obama, have been known to enjoy a LeBron dunk before.
