Rudy Giuliani has been pranked yet again, this time by a joke TikTok video made by a young man pretending to be a mail worker who rips up and throws out a ballot filled out for Donald Trump. In spite of several clues that the video was a prank, Giuliani retweeted it from another account that has now deleted the tweet.

According to Insider, the tweet had been marked with a warning that the “claim about election fraud had been disputed.”

The video itself set off such a firestorm among Republicans that journalists dug into the TikTok user’s account, identifying him as Dale Harrison. The young man wrote on his Facebook page that he made the video as a joke and that the vest he wore is from his job at an Amazon warehouse.

Even for those who are unaware what mail sorting at the USPS really looks like, the fact that the ballot Harrison showed in the video is not in an envelope should probably have been a clue that it wasn’t real. Not to mention the overlaying text that says “send viral” with a cry-laughing emoji, However, Giuliani has become notorious for falling for pranks and generally being a bumbling mess of a human.

To be fair, the video also appears to have fooled conservative influencers Tito Ortiz and Tomi Lahren over on Instagram, where the video has been flagged as containing false information.

Right-wing efforts to challenge the election results have met with a number of hurdles, with many of their fraud allegations being quickly debunked and one “whistleblower” of theirs possibly recanting their story. It’s gotten to the point that even Tucker Carlson has conceded that there is not enough evidence of fraud to overturn the projected results.

“At this stage, the fraud that we can confirm does not seem to be enough to alter the election result. We should be honest and tell you that,” he said on his Fox News segment. “Of course, that could change.”

Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, meanwhile, has offered up to $1 million for information that leads to a conviction on voter fraud charges. It’s not clear whether it counts if that voter fraud was committed by a Republican or benefits Patrick’s party.
