Perhaps it was inevitable that the warnings Twitter has begun attaching to every other Donald Trump tweet would become a meme, because it sure has. Twitter users everywhere are putting out deliberately false statements and adding the warning to their own tweets, with the meme already reaching brand accounts and mixing with other memes to reach total meme saturation.

Twitter began using these warnings on tweets from high-profile political figures that they for some reason felt they couldn’t just ban entirely in order to try and fight the scourge of online misinformation. This had a limited effect, of course, because Trump and allies had already been accusing the platform of working against them in some evil liberal Silicon Valley agenda plot.

However, it seems that something good has come out of this newer feature as those who can take up social isolation again because the pandemic is going through its worst surge yet in the U.S. and many other nations. We all need something to do while we’re stuck at home over Thanksgiving weekend, because none of you are traveling or gathering in large groups, right?
