A lot of conservative extremists have been censored or even deplatformed by popular social media apps like Twitter, Reddit, and Facebook. Many of them have fled to platforms more friendly to hateful rhetoric and violence, like YouTube and the lesser know Parler. So when Donald Trump’s bid to undermine democracy fell, Parler was hot hot hot!

Trump’s cronies in Texas brought a lawsuit alleging election fraud, and attempting to invalidate the results in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan. The Supreme Court is stacked with incompetent Trump picks, so it seemed like the Republican-led group anticipated a win. They didn’t get one.

The court told Texas that it “has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another state conducts its elections,” the New York Times reports.

This loss was enough to make Parler and its members absolutely freak out:

Screenshots of posts from MAGA heads made their way to Twitter, containing everything from people saying they’d never vote again to threatening to shoot the Supreme Court Justices:

There were also calls for secession and war against neighbors to prevent Joe Biden from the presidency. It was so intense, that “FBI” started trending on Twitter, as people tagged them to say they should check Parler out.

While it’s good that people are taking the threats of domestic violence on Parler seriously, it’s funny to assume the FBI isn’t already surveilling it (although who knows for sure). These guys are basically outlining plans that will get them arrested. That’s why they love Parler: it’s the perfect place for MAGA people to incriminate themselves.
