For most of us, Joe Biden officially won the presidential election over a month ago. For Donald Trump, that was just the beginning. In a series of terrible lawsuits, Trump attempted to overturn the election. Each one was rejected, with the biggest failing all the way up in the Supreme Court, as Texas Republicans attempted to overturn results in four other states.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has seemed to support all these efforts at a coup, but the tables have turned. On Monday evening, the electoral college made the win OFFICIAL official, and CNN reports that McConnell made his first comments acknowledging that during remarks on the Senate floor.

“The electoral college has spoken,” McConnell said. “Today I want to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden.”

McConnell’s remarks didn’t seem to make anyone very happy. Many people felt this was too little, too late, since the country has been in turmoil for weeks. And some conservatives were really upset, especially on Parler, their preferred social media app. Twitter account @ParlerTakes screenshot some of them:

If only this meant Mitch McConnell would suffer any consequences for his actions whatsoever.
