After yet another procedural step in the 2020 election went forward in spite of Donald Trump’s attempts to meddle, the outgoing president hopped on Twitter to openly attack GOP lawmakers as well as Democrats. He even retweeted an image of Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Rathensperger in Chinese flag masks saying that they “will soon be going to jail.”

He also encouraged Trump supporters to stock up on survival and “2nd Amendment supplies” and shared a troubling image urging “American Patriots” to “be prepared” as “events will unfold quickly over next several days.”

Lin Wood is another Trump lawyer who also makes it into the news today for urging Donald to declare martial law to “clean up the election,” following in the footsteps of General Michael Flynn.
That will have to wait, however, until Trump is done anger-tweeting. He’s still talking about vague and unsupported claims of voter fraud and Dominion voting machines, and suggested that Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson broke the law somehow.

Where Trump got the 68 percent statistic is unclear, but surely it’s just as credible a source as Lin Wood.
Benson was also in the news recently, but for her it was because a group of armed Trump supporters came to her home to “protest” the election results, chanting “Stop the Steal” and call the whole Benson family “murderers.” Her four-year-old son was there at the time.

The outgoing president also retweeted an individual by the name of “Ron” who claims in his bio to be a former administrator of the “anything goes” online forum know as 8chan (now “8kun”). This internet cesspool came into being after a bunch of users were kicked off of 4chan for being too terrible even for 4chan. The new message board has been a haven for neo-Nazis, other white supremacists, and generally the most vile people humanity has to offer.
“Ron” tweeted about alleged foreign interference in elections, which is interesting because four years ago, we seem to remember Trump refusing to even entertain the possibility of such a thing.

Now that the Electoral College has confirmed the people’s vote, the results will be handed over to Congress so that they can count the electors’ votes and officially declare a presidential winner on January 6, 2021.
